adibus AutomaticSpeedLimitation

adibus ASL allows you to create zones with specific speed limits, such as 30 km/h, 40 km/h, etc.

When the bus enters or leaves a zone, CAN/FMS signals are sent to the bus with the recommended speed limit.

How it works:

Different zones with specific speed limits are created centrally and uploaded to an adibus FTP site.

These zones can cover specific roads or entire areas.

When the bus enters the area :

  • The speed limit is displayed on the driver terminal.
  • The recommended speed limit is sent to the bus via FMS/CAN data.
  • It is then up to the bus manufacturer to implement the function. Currently, we have this implemented with VanHool, Solaris, and Golden Dragon, with more manufacturers to come.

When leaving the area:

  • A new message is sent, either with a new speed limit or indicating that no speed limit applies.
